Titleist AP2 Forged Golf Club

Titleist AP2 Forged Hybrid Golf Club

The base construction is similar to its predecessor but the feel properties have been tweaked to block out lower frequencies (which create a harsh feel). Updates include the aluminum badge backed by soft elastomer in the cavity (which elicits a soft yet solid feel). A 55-gram tungsten-nickel sole weight further enhances feel and forgiveness. Short irons (7-iron to PW) have less bounce on the back edge of the sole, for crisper contact. Stock shaft is Dynamic Gold (original AP2 had Project X).

TaylorMade R9 TP Golf Club

TaylorMade R9 TP Hybrid Golf Club

R9 TP irons combine traditional player's characteristics with high-tech performance. The result is a classiclooking set with long irons (2-5) that feature thin, flexible clubfaces (due to the hollow-headed design) for higher COR and more distance. Clubfaces become progressively thicker in the mid- and short irons to promote greater control and feel where needed. KBS Tour Series steel shafts come standard.

Ping i15 Golf Club

Ping i15 Hybrid Golf ClubPing engineers crafted the i15 in response to demand for an iron that's less blade-like and more forgiving than the i10. The result is a progressive set with slightly bigger long irons designed to get shots airborne easily. Middle irons and compact short irons feature narrower soles and less offset. A tungsten toe insert provides more stability on off-center hits, and a redesigned "Custom Tuning Port" improves sound and impact feel.

Mizuno MP-58 Golf Club

Mizuno MP-58 Hybrid Golf Club
Like all Mizuno forgings, the MP-58's are Grain Flow Forged from "Pure Select" carbon steel. Here, however, 11 grams of titanium is pressed into the head to create an outer muscle that significantly improves forgiveness on off-center hits. In other words, these slick-looking irons are designed to provide the feel and playability of traditional Mizuno blades with added game-enhancing characteristics. The pleasing impact sound is the result of Mizuno's "modal analysis" technology.
